Trump Bars U.S. Press, but Not Russia’s, at Meeting With Russian Officials

WASHINGTON — When President Trump met with top Russian officials in the Oval Office on Wednesday, White House officials barred reporters from witnessing the moment. They apparently preferred to block coverage of the awkwardly timed visit as questions swirled about whether the president had dismissed his F.B.I. director in part to squelch the investigation into possible ties between his campaign and Moscow. But the Russians, who have a largely state-run media, brought their own press contingent in the form of an official photographer. They quickly filled the vacuum with their own pictures of the meeting with Mr. Trump, Sergey V. Lavrov, the Russian foreign minister, and Sergey I. Kislyak, Moscow’s ambassador to the United States. Within minutes of the meeting, the Foreign Ministry had posted photographs on Twitter of Mr. Trump and Mr. Lavrov smiling and shaking hands. The Russian embassy posted images of the president grinning and gripping hands with the ambassador. Tass, Russia’s official news agency, released more photographs of the three men laughing together in the Oval Office.

Apparently, the administration is so stupid that they were fooled by the Russian representatives/spies.  I feel like that will be their go to for their treasonous collusion.

Is it just coincidence that Comey was fired while in L.A. and right before the visit from the Russian spy?  Did Trump's people access any classified info in Comey's office to share with the Russian's while no US media was around to witness?  Are a bunch more Russians going to end up dead from accidental polonium poisoning?

Trump's DNI:

Coats on Iran deal: "The JCPOA has also enhanced the transparency of Iran’s nuclear activities, mainly through improved access by the IAEA"

but Trump said that this is the worst deal ever made.  I guess he must agree now that Obama's deal was great for the country.

At least Obama didn't get duped into allowing Russian spies to take photos in the Oval office and troll the administration.  What a group of amateurs in the WH.

I firmly believe that Hillary Clinton would have given Comey his walking papers within the first week

I firmly believe that she would not have done so.  Even if she wanted to do that, it would've been terrible optics and the GOP would have collectively shat themselves.  Obama could have given Comey his walking papers in November, December or January and did not.

Trump found someone less photogenic than him.... too bad that photo was not from his first 100 days or he could have put it at the top of his list of accomplishments.

Look how happy he looks compared to photos with our allies.  He has a longer deeper relationship with Russian spies.  I wouldn't expect less from a traitor.

Two observations:

They look so excited to see each other. Almost like frat boys at a 10 year reunion.

The official on the right, in the second picture must have a serious case of gynecomastia. :-o I'd hate to be that guy.

Are you referring to Kislyak?   The WH conveniently forgot to mention he was even there.  I'm sure there's a logical explanation for why they always forget meetings with this guy.  The same guy Flynn called and the whole administration lied about.  I'm sure it's not treason because viewing treasonous things as treason is trolling around here

Perhaps Kislyak is just such a bore and so not-memorable that everyone who meets with him forgets that they do so. That's clearly a better explanation than treason.

And clearly he fired Comey because of his unfair treatment of Hillary.  That story makes sense too.  I'm sure he is not trying to obstruct an investigation into his non-existent treasonous activities. We should just take Trump at his word.  Doing otherwise is just hyperventilating.

VP on the record (7x) claimed the Trump fired Comey because of the recommendation of DAG.   The entire communications team echoed the same statement.  Today, dumdum Trump contradicted his own team's on the record statements.

Can someone just get him to testify under oath.  He will perjure himself immediately. The man is not capable of not lying.

I don't know. Obama's many lies always seemed more plausible depending on who was delivering them. The problem was that he had so many press secretaries I lost track of their names.

Rand Paul has definitely fallen in line.

I was confused about the reason(s) for the firing even before all of the flip-flopping today.  Was he fired because he mishandled the Clinton email investigation by not recommending charges?  Or was he fired because he grossly misstated the nature of the evidence they were reviewing just prior to the election?  And all I mean is the stated reason.  We all know why he was fired.

Part of me says that Trump did this because he is a drama queen and he knew this would cause drama.  He needs the drama for self-esteem purposes and his die-hard supporters crave it like a clique of teenage girls.

Samantha Bee puts it in terms that even the biggest Trump Cultist should be able to understand.  Watch the whole clip if you have time.  Or just watch from 4:30 on to explain to even the dumbest person why Rand Paul is an idiot.

Sarah Huckabee says that their story on Comey firing has been consistent.  This administration even lies about their lies.  Maybe Sarah's daddy could explain what the bible says about bearing false witness but Huckabee is not a real Christian he worships the GOP Jesus.
