Dayton Hispanic Festival
« on: September 24, 2007, 08:14:31 PM »

According to the census the latino population in the Dayton region grew by over 40% since 2000.   The Hispanic Festival is getting better attendance too.    This is put on by PACO, the Puerto Rican & Carribean Association, but it is for all of Latin America.   As you can tell by the crowd shots this is a fairly multi-culti event.

The El Meson paella man, again

Bolivian stuff.  Fairly rare

Grupo Fuego.  I think they are from Cincinnati?

Jalapeno eating contest.  The guy in the hat is the MC for the stage acts, and he is quite a characterů

And little dancing and music things on the side.

YAY!!!
I love it when people come into a message board and immediately begin to mix it up.  I mean, Jesus, at least say hello!  Do you walk into a room full of strangers, pick a random woman, and tell her she's fat? - buildingcincinnati

Some people are like slinkies -- not much good for anything, but they bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs.

Actually, the majority of the members of "Grupo Fuego" are from Cleveland, Ohio...a few from Detroit, a few from Chicago, and one from Cincy
