this one is downtown in manhattan, 118 fulton st.

its 63 stories and about 500 rental apts.

its about 2/3rds built so far.

after around three years of work, two of the five buildings in flushing commons in queens are ready to come online.
not too flashy -- looks nice and normal.

rezoning was approved to build up far rockaway, queens.
it covers 23 blocks and could bring 3k apts.
the city owned land developments will stay 100% affordable housing.
no mention of an ocean dike though...

oh boy now this is really something.
its a new marriott edition hotel in times square.
its a 500 footer and it just topped out in the spring, so it's still u/c.
its nothing of note -- except that it has an 18k sq ft led screen around its base.
and i heard they just turned it on today -- definitely need to check it out!   :-o

not NYC but a few miles up the Hudson, the new Tappan Zee Bridge (named after Mario Cuomo. hmmmm... :roll:) is set to open
