Weird that Nunes didn't come across any of this info.  Paul Ryan thinks all is well though.

Jesus Christ, Don Jr. backpeddled two times in the span of two follow-up questions.

Remember, Trump publicly announced that he would be unveiling new dirt on Hillary Clinton related to Russia *three hours* after Don Jr. confirmed the meeting with the Russians who were offering dirt on Hillary Clinton as part of a “high-level” effort to help Trump win.

Don Jr.'s testimony is that he chose not to speak with his father about the Trump Tower meeting.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/opinion/2018/05/16/donald-trump-caves-prescription-drug-prices-column/616070002/

Quote
There were high expectations for Trump after a campaign in which he accused drug companies of “getting away with murder” with their unchecked prices, and vowed to take them on. Americans are unified in how they want they want their government to respond; 92% say it should use its negotiating power to reduce drug prices for Medicare. Sensing a populist wave, in one of his most important and surprising campaign pledges, then-candidate Trump said he would "negotiate like crazy." He even promised that his negotiating skills would save taxpayers $300 billion annually.

So far Trump hasn’t made a dent. Since he became president, the prices of over 2,500 drugs already on the market have increased by at least double digits. That was all supposed the change with Trump’s big speech Friday. But even as he vowed to press on to “total victory,” there was no trace of even a fraction of $300 billion in savings, or any immediate relief for consumers.

Quote
Instead, Trump’s speech and accompanying “American Patients First” blueprint turned out to be a huge relief for drug companies. There were no calls for negotiation (there was even a recommended boost for drug companies to get higher overseas prices) or drug re-importation — the two campaign promises that would have had the biggest impact on consumers.

Quote
The administration now says the government wouldn’t be able to reduce prices because it can’t effectively negotiate with the pharmaceutical industry. Tell that to the Veterans’ Administration; its prices would make a fine place to start negotiations.

Here’s the truth: The decision not to negotiate protects profits and hurts consumers.

The Art of the Deal.

Rex Tillerson just gave a speech that suggested that Trump’s rhetoric and lack of morality is causing an ethical decay and is chipping away at “our democracy as we know it.”

Can’t wait to hear one of the populists spin this one

A lot of Michael Cohen news dropping tonight...

Missing Files Motivated the Leak of Michael Cohen’s Financial Records

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.newyorker.com/news/news-desk/missing-files-motivated-the-leak-of-michael-cohens-financial-records/amp

This story is crazy. There is either a serious crime and the FBI/Mueller was suppressing information to protect the investigation

or serious crime was committed and someone in the Treasury Dept. is trying to cover it up.

There was discussion a few months ago when PC snowflakes like me were discussing how certain language is used to dehumanize people.  But I know now that I was totally wrong by thinking that referring to human being as illegals was dehumanizing. I was just being sensitive.  Oh wait, the President of the US is calling them animals now.  Let's discuss the PC culture that is shutting down speech by facists instead.

Nazi comparisons are no longer hyperbole.  There's only one reason for a leader to use this sort of language, and that's to lay the groundwork for genocide.

Trump needs to go.  Now.

Calling people animals is sinful. Every human being has infinite dignity. Moreover, this is the same kind of language that led to the extermination of Jews ("vermin") in Germany and of Tutsi ("cockroaches") in Rwanda. This kind of language cannot be normalized. It is a grave sin.

This is called dehumanization. When people start being seen as rats/roaches/animals very bad things can happen. That an American President made this comment is abhorrent beyond belief. https://twitter.com/RyanLizza/status/996888372718243841?s=19

I was called a troll when I pointed out the parallels to facism at the beginning of Trump's term.  Maybe we'll need to gas a few "animals" before people wake up.

Immigrants communities have lower crime, better overall health and contribute massively to the economy.

Trump calls them animals because he is racist. There is no other reason.

In one single day we got:

-Senate Judiciary doc dump
-Senate Intel R's split from House Intel R's
-Trump discloses reimbursing Cohen
-OGE refers sitting POTUS to DOJ for filing false financials
-Missing reports at FinCEN, whistleblower
-Scott Pruitt admits to violating federal law in testimony

And that wasn't even everything.

This is insane.

Also, look at Ronan Farrow's recent work - https://www.newyorker.com/contributors/ronan-farrow

The guy does not mess around.  In just the last 7 months his pieces at The New Yorker alone include a Pulitzer-prize winning piece on Harvey Weinstein, how Black Cube was hired to collect information on Obama officials who worked on the Iran deal, the piece that broke open the Eric Schneiderman (NY AG) allegations - leading to his resignation, and now he got the source who leaked Cohen's financial records to go on the record with him.
