"Stormy said they had an affair.  Trump said they didn't.  Who are you going to believe?  The fake blonde with big t!ts, or Stormy Daniels?" - Bill Maher

Years ago I caught Holly watching "Rock Of Love" with Brett Michaels.   I had to explain to her that he had been the lead singer for Poison, who she had heard of, sorta.   I noted at that time that the point of this show was for Brett to get away with doing in his 40s what he did in his 20s.    The same could be said locally about Dave Brooks when he was singing for The Breakfast Club.

Stormy's basically using this story du juor to get away with doing in her almost-40s what she did in her 20s.   More power to her.

^ Does that mean she'll only make 77% of what Pompeo made, thus reducing the budget deficit... or did I read what you all were going on about (re: pay gaps) in that other thread wrong??

Anyway, I can't believe the amount of spin the left is trying to put on this. Back when Tillerson was nominated, the left objected because he was a Russian stooge. Now that he's been let go, the left objects because he was standing up to Russia.

BREAKING: Democrats on the House Intel Committee have just released a detailed report of dozens of key witnesses that Republicans refused to allow the committee to interview.

Document shows a clear violation of their duty to America.  See below:

An estimated 6% of the U.S. population is vegan so I'm not sure this is the character test you want to use.

I'm pretty sure KJP is just an anti-Trump spambot at this point.  Or he thinks that the tactics of Russian troll farms worked well enough that he might as well mimic them.  He fully agrees with Trump on the use and nature of words and language, though.  In the KJrumPian view, the purpose of words and language is not to express truth, or even to seek it.  It is to at least display, and preferably actually exercise, dominance and power.  On that basis, there is not a smidgen of evidence of the speaker's actual sentiment about animal rights or veganism in his statement--it is merely yet another attack on the president, and a signal of the speaker's own status as a "fighter" or similar label.  To the 6% of the population who are vegan (and others who might agree with the general premise at least in part), perhaps it is an attack with some traction; with respect to the other 94%, he loses nothing but a few seconds of his time typing it and can launch another kitchen-sink cyber-fusillade tomorrow.

So the Pennsylvania election looks to be extremely close, and may come down to a few hundred votes. Whoever wins, it's pretty clear that Republicans have a problem.  This was a district that went 20 points for Trump, and they don't have a pedophile to blame this time.

Democrats win either way.  The bad Republican showing, even if he wins, is bad news for them in other races.  That's a YUGE swing.  And it would be a short-lived victory, as the new district will favor Democrats in November.

Trump is bashing California and Gov. Brown. California's biggest problem is that it is being held back by being in the United States...

- 6th largest economy in the world.

- Continually outpaces the U.S. in job growth.

- Turned a 2010 deficit into a record surplus.

- Leads the national economy from personal income to high-wage jobs and more.

Trump visited twice to PA-18 and the GOP spent $10 million there.  They still lost.

There are 110 House races analysts have deemed more Democrat/left-leaning than PA-18.

Democrats only need to take 24 to take back the House.

So the GOP only needs to defend 87 House districts that are MORE left-leaning than PA-18 to maintain control of the HOR.  Good luck.

I agree with you, Trump's attacks on Brown were largely baseless and unfair. But, there is a MASSIVE exodus from some areas of California right now due to the cost of living there. That is an issue that needs to be fixed - and, to be fair, isn't entirely on Gov. Brown either.

The problem is Trump’s administration actively opposed the idea of a Space Force last year. In June, the House Armed Services Committee drafted legislation in the National Defense Authorization Act that would create a “Space Corps” within the US Air Force.

The Air Force didn’t want it and even the White House objected to the idea at the time, saying it would create more bureaucracy. “I oppose the creation of a new military service and additional organizational layers at a time when we are focused on reducing overhead and integrating joint warfighting efforts,” Defense Secretary Jim Mattis wrote in a letter to the ranking members of the House and Senate Armed Services Committees.

But that didn’t stop President Trump for advocating for a “Space Force” today. “My new national strategy for space recognizes that space is a war-fighting domain, just like the land, air, and sea,” Trump said at the rally. “We may even have a ‘Space Force’ — develop another one. Space Force. We have the Air Force; we’ll have the Space Force.”

The most disjointed, bumbling administration of modern history, imo.

The affordability issue is partly the fault of NIMBYs who don't want any new housing built especially higher density housing that doesn't fit with the "character" of their neighborhood.  NIMBYs are a problem with people of all political beliefs.
