I also noticed Acorn (owned by Christopher Banks) shuttered their store here.  Went to their website and found that they had closed all their stores nationwide.  Here's their press release: http://www.acornstores.com/Close%20PR%20(FINAL%20-%20073108).pdf

^^^January 27th seems like an odd time to shutter the doors of an intimate apparel store with Valentine's Day just two weeks away.

Developer plans 18 townhomes at The Greene

Dayton Business Journal - by Tom Demeropolis DBJ Staff

The Greene has been a success in more ways than one. The $250 million-plus development in Beavercreek has brought top-notch retailers into the area. A number of businesses have moved or are planning to move into its office space. And the residential component of The Greene is 100 percent leased with a waiting list for apartments above the town center’s retail shops.

^Yuck.

Saw the signs for this on a visit there a month or so ago when I was walking out to the parking garage. Makes me wonder if the owners of the apartment complex located behind the Greene would be willing to pay big cash to have a road from the Greene extended to their property so that they could market their housing the same way.....

New music pavilion coming to Greene Town Center

A new music pavilion will soon be unveiled at the Greene Town Center in Beavercreek.

The music pavilion, sponsored by Kettering Health Network, will be the first permanent structure of its kind at The Greene. The structure — 20 feet tall by 20 feet wide — will add to the existing outdoor concerts and events.
