I want the Taqueria Mixteca food truck back. Other than that, I'm good on Mexican food in Dayton.

Hell, I want Taqueria Tres Hermanos, Taquiera La Lomita, La Michoacana, Victor’s, and a Las Penas food truck near me but that ain't gonna happen!  So much good Mexican around here...

...and just an FYI, I've never been to an Elsa's, El Toro, or a Rancho Grande...but I don't trust them when Dayton has a billion actual Mexican restaurants.

Taqueria La Lomita? I've been to the others, but where is this one?

Have you tried La Raza?

La Lomita is on Linden (side of building in food truck):

I haven't tried La Raza.  Is that the one in West Carrollton?  I've heard good things if that's the one.

Ah. I have driven by La Lomita, at least.

That's the one, right where so many places have unfortunately failed on Imperial off of 725. They're so close to Las Penas, but there's plenty of business to go around, I would think.

Miamisburg community provides hub for 'approachable' fine dining

For one local chef, Miamisburg is the perfect place to open a restaurant.

Maria Walusis is the owner of Watermark, an "approachable" fine dining restaurant in downtown Miamisburg that specializes in new American cuisine. Located at 20 S. First Street, Watermark opened last fall after Walusis decided to relocate and rename her Nibbles restaurant, which was located just a few buildings away from Watermark.

Nibbles still operates, but as a catering business. Walusis also expanded the menu options for Watermark and added an expanded bar managed by her husband Eric Walusis.

Dayton-based restaurant chain plans new locations

A longtime Dayton sandwich shop chain is looking to expand to three potential new locations.

Submarine House co-owner Jason Danner said the restaurant is considering opening three new locations in Kettering, Springboro and Springfield, which would bring the sandwich shop chain up to 11 locations in the Dayton region.

Danner said Submarine House is "in the process" of looking at potential locations in those cities, but none have been finalized yet, and the expected opening dates of the new restaurants are yet to be determined.
