Hell, I want Taqueria Tres Hermanos, Taquiera La Lomita, La Michoacana, Victor’s, and a Las Penas food truck near me but that ain't gonna happen!  So much good Mexican around here...

...and just an FYI, I've never been to an Elsa's, El Toro, or a Rancho Grande...but I don't trust them when Dayton has a billion actual Mexican restaurants.

La Lomita is on Linden (side of building in food truck):

I haven't tried La Raza.  Is that the one in West Carrollton?  I've heard good things if that's the one.

Ah. I have driven by La Lomita, at least.

That's the one, right where so many places have unfortunately failed on Imperial off of 725. They're so close to Las Penas, but there's plenty of business to go around, I would think.

Miamisburg community provides hub for 'approachable' fine dining

For one local chef, Miamisburg is the perfect place to open a restaurant.

Maria Walusis is the owner of Watermark, an "approachable" fine dining restaurant in downtown Miamisburg that specializes in new American cuisine. Located at 20 S. First Street, Watermark opened last fall after Walusis decided to relocate and rename her Nibbles restaurant, which was located just a few buildings away from Watermark.

Nibbles still operates, but as a catering business. Walusis also expanded the menu options for Watermark and added an expanded bar managed by her husband Eric Walusis.

Dayton-based restaurant chain plans new locations

Plans for Chicago pizza chain's first Dayton location move forward

A Chicago pizzeria chain famous for stuffed deep-dish pizza is moving ahead with its plans to open its first Dayton location.

Giordano's applied for a liquor license earlier this week for an address at 2819 Centre Drive in Beavercreek, according to records from the Ohio Division of Liquor Control. That address is the former site of Logan's Roadhouse, which closed permanently in 2016.

The Dayton Business Journal previously reported a building accommodating up to four restaurant and retail tenants would be constructed at the Centre Drive address. Documents from the city of Beavercreek indicate the restaurant will be just over 5,000 square feet and able to seat around 234 people, with 158 interior seats and 76 patio seats. The estimated cost of remodeling the restaurant is around $500,000.

Hot Head Burritos launches new cantina concept

A booming fast-casual Mexican restaurant chain based in the Dayton area will soon launch a new concept under a new name.

Hot Head Burritos will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 7 for its Brown Street location, newly renamed Hot Head Burritos Cantina. The restaurant, located near the University of Dayton, will now offer a full bar along with daily beer pitcher specials and weekly margarita specials. Ceremony guests will be invited to tour the newly remodeled restaurant as well.
