OHIO STATE REP: IF POLICE TASE OR SHOOT A CHILD, SHE PROBABLY ACTED ‘STUPID’ OR WAS ‘A PUNK’
Rep. John Becker doubles down on his recent comments about the tasing of an 11-year-old for allegedly shoplifting.

Wealthiest GOP Donor In Ohio Quits Party: ‘I Won’t Support This Nonsense Anymore’ - Wexner called Obama’s visit to Ohio this week a “great moment for the community,” “I was struck by the genuineness of the man; his candor, humility and empathy for others”

Les Wexner seems like the Michael Bloomberg of Ohio, a mega rich corporate titan who switches back and forth between party affiliations for political expedience. He probably surmised that being identified as a Republican currently might be disadvantageous to maintaining a steady customer base for his various brands (maybe forgetting that Republicans also buy his overpriced stuff) so he jumped ship. Whatever ::)

There's another guy I'm thinking of that has switched party affiliations. Albeit, much less successful in business than either Bloomberg or Wexner.  His name rhymes with Ronald Gump.

Could be, but perhaps he has a sense of right and wrong and surmised that the Republican party is descending into an angry mob of authoritarian know-nothings. Whatever ::)

Saw this on Twitter this morning...

Received this for my 88-year-old grandma. Says it's a summons from Travis County, but is actually asking for money for @tedcruz . Did your campaign authorize this? Is this even legal? Shame on you. That's one more @BetoORourke voter.

Last night, Marco Rubio tweeted out the address and phone number of a guy, ten days after saying "we should all, the Dems, the GOP, the media, admit our role in turning politics into theatre."

I had to Google what you're talking about (maybe post a link in the future?) - it seems he tweeted out the address and phone number of a restaurant. That's a pretty important detail, no? Another important detail is that it's a restaurant owned by a chef who was recently filmed serving a brutal communist dictator whose people are starving to death on a daily basis:

https://www.miamiherald.com/news/nation-world/world/americas/venezuela/article218588305.html

The Florida Republican came across video of celebrity chef Nusret Gökçe, known as Salt Bae, gyrating his hips while serving expensive steak to a cigar-wielding Nicolás Maduro at his restaurant in Turkey. Rubio initially tweeted his displeasure, referring to Venezuelan President Maduro as “an overweight dictator” and Gökçe as a “weirdo.”

Then Rubio found out that Gökçe, who achieved viral fame for his intricate salting of meat, owns a restaurant in Miami. He tweeted out the address and phone number of Brickell’s Nusr-Et steakhouse, a move that drew some criticism online.

Should we hold everyone who meets with brutal dictators in contempt?  Or is Rubio's job just to provide oversight of chefs?

^ There are over 100,000 Venezuelan immigrants living in Florida. Rubio justifiably felt the need to let his constituents know the chef at a local high end restaurant thoroughly enjoys serving the dictator who continues to kill many of their loved ones on a daily basis.

What does he think about dictators being called honorable people by the President of The United States?  That must not be worthy of commentary from a Senator.

I'd argue calling out a dictator and people that cater to him as "normal."

Is it a shame he doesn't more actively call out hypocrisy within his own party? Sure.

Does it invalidate that Maduro is allowing thousands of his people to die while he gets fat? Nope.

That obviously the individual that was at home in his apartment and found himself murdered—that is horrific and a nightmare.

https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2018/09/ted-cruz-beto-orourke-botham-jean-amber-guyger-shooting/

Ted Cruz is an awful human being.  Framing this incident as a "police shooting" is beyond the pale.  She was not on duty and had no business being in his apartment.

True story: Trump won Texas with 52% of the vote and Ohio with 51% of the vote!
