Great pics.  I always love seeing the small towns with great buildings and quaint downtowns.   Mingo Junction needs some help.

Every single town in the Ohio Valley deserves to be a bright, bustling tourist destination. Maybe one day...

Great stuff.

These are like before photos for Newark, which looks much improved with the comprehensive streetscape rebuild.

Really good set. I love your choice of black and white for Lexington's 5th/3rd tower shot. Also must say Cincinnati really does have a beautiful skyline but while looking at the set I took a while to try and figure out the easiest, most economical way to paint the handles on the Longaberger basket building. Doing a little research I did not know the building was sold off and now is unoccupied.

I like the simple and direct "EAT" sign in Maysville. There used to be one at Fuller's Restaurant in Hampton, VA, that was even more to the point: "EAT DIRT CHEAP", it said.
There's nothing wrong with optimism, as long as you don't get your hopes up.

I believe EAT is actually an art gallery or store. They used to advertise at the Esquire Theater in Clifton.

I was going to ask what will happen with the basket building but that answered my question. That thing will be a challenge for a realtor to rent out unless outside renovation is part of a rental contract.

Agreed. If only it was more temperate here in Ohio.... it's hard to be a year round tourist destination with four seasons.
ColDayMan, excellent set! Hard to look at these photos without being astonished by how well Lexington is doing (UK + bluegrass country does wonders for the downtown economy), amazed by what places like Stubenville were, and hopeful looking at places like Georgetown OH.
