Well here is the finished turbine.  All wires from the turbine are buried, slab covered, and guy wires installed.  I think the project came out pretty nice.

Another view I like, looking up.

I still have some interior wiring to do, but for the most part, all of the hard work is done. I hope to be done with the wiring tomorrow.

Just curious, do you have a fenced yard? I can only imagine how many kids in most areas would spot that and think "ooo, jungle gym!!!"

Just electrify the tower.  You can use the power from the turbine to do it.

Just a quick update, I went in front of the Zoning Appeals Board this morning and I am proud to say I am the first city resident with a legal wind turbine in the city.

Apparently there is a gentleman from Tremont planning to put one on top of an apartment, does anyone know anything about this?

Glad it was approved!!  Do you have it fully functional and can you monitor how much electricity is produced?

Look into selling the RECs (Renewable Energy Credits) for the kWs it produces, do you have it set up to meter the output? It won't be a ton of money but it will be something on top of your useage savings.

Thanks!  Yep, runs my garage door opener.  I don't have a way, yet, to monitor actual electricity produced.

Yeppir.  The fella who owns the flatiron-shaped building on the corner of Professor and W. 10th is in the process of getting permits to put an Energy Ball on its roof.  It won't be terribly visible, though, except from a bit of a distance.

Well I started a webpage detailing the project and other similar projects I have done. I wouldn't mind some "constructive" criticism from the UO community.  It is still very under construction.  Be nice...
