It's somewhere in my giant stack of negatives.  It would take 2 hours to find.

Republicans used to be considered the party of the business community. Now it's using government to stop economic development and private investment....

Texas lawmakers move to stymie high-speed rail project.  Nearly a dozen Republican state lawmakers, mostly from rural and suburban districts, filed a flurry of bills Tuesday aiming to “derail” plans for a privately-funded high-speed rail line in Texas.  The 18 bills, nine each in the Texas Senate and Texas House, aim to limit Texas Central Partners’ ability to develop a Houston-to-Dallas line supported by both metro areas, but strongly opposed by many rural landowners and elected officials.

California’s top Republican ignored business plea to help Caltrain.  Business leaders at the Bay Area Council business group did their best at a recent fundraiser for House Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy to persuade the Bakersfield Republican to get behind Caltrain electrification — but no dice.  McCarthy and the rest of the California GOP congressional delegation urged the Trump administration to delay a $647 million federal grant for the Caltrain upgrade as a way of targeting Gov. Jerry Brown’s high-speed rail project, which would ride Caltrain’s rails from the South Bay to San Francisco. Last week, the administration went along with the delay. Caltrain says that could doom it to a future of slow, inefficient diesel trains.  http://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/California-s-top-Republican-ignored-business-10949198.php

A lot of Republicans only know their own business since they didn't pay attention in Economics classes. Economics is considered the hippie discipline and involves studying international situations. Boring!

As an economics major that took some grad classes on the subject with mathematics, etc., it kind of baffles me how completely dumb most politicians are in regards to economic theory.  It also baffles me that either they are way too dumb to even try to educate their own voter base on reasons why they need to do this or that (building a new Brent Spence instead of spending money to study a bypass), OR they are run by special interests (which I think is the case unless they are all dumber than boxes of rocks).

A lot of businessmen seem to be successful on a combination of personality and choosing or lucking into the right type of business.  They generally grasp a few concepts not known to the public, but usually are comically uneducated in realms that are quite obvious to scores of people with six-figure student loan debt.

^ From the videos I've seen of some recent town halls, there is an actual, real problem. People show up with no intention of having an adult conversation, they show up wanting to boo a politician they disagree with and disrupt any form of constructive dialogue. It's a continuation of the anti-Trump protests, where adult children simply wanted to be disruptive  and destructive with the ultimate goal being to prevent Trump from speaking. These people don't want to participate in town halls with Republican politicians, they want to silence them.

^Kinda like denying Merrick Garland a hearing or like Mitch McConnell saying his goal was to make Obama a one-term president. Even better..kinda like yelling "you lie" during the State of the Union.

Like when one rep repeated the lie about "Obamacare death panels" at a recent town hall and the entire crowd booed him? Yeah, that's the type of situation where an adult conversation is no longer possible and the only option is to boo and shut the guy down.

Here's the always-classy Huff Po blog informing others how to go disrupt town halls:

Here's some insight into the planning of such operations:

Overall, not a productive or mature strategy at all, just the results of the left wing childlike temper tantrum that has been going on almost uninterrupted since about 9:00 PM on election day.

^ they are following the Tea Party strategy.  Do you have any comments about tea party childish behavior or is it cool if you do it in  colonial costumes with gadsden flags.  I'm just trying to understand why you're so triggered.

Of the two parties I feel the Dems at least try to deliver what they campaigned on.  Trump is a rare exception to this for the GOP (though he is taking them to the extreme).  Most GOP candidates run on small government, less spending platforms, then get in there and spend like drunken sailors.

Great point. Time and again Republicans have shown their compelling arguments for fiscal responsibility and ethics are merely talking points.

^ You guys are grasping. Even the far left website Politifact can only manage to construe a mere 3% of Trump's promises as "broken" - the vast majority are either already delivered, in the works, or it's simply too soon to tell (it's only been 4 months - he is human, after all, give the man some time! I'm sure he'll get to many of these over the next 7 years and 8 months):
