New Jersey, the Garden State, is America's most densely populated state at around 8.5 million people in a state half the size of Ohio. Ranging from scenic areas in the northwest and southeast parts of the state and urbanization of the southwest (Philadelphia area) and northeast (New York City area), New Jersey offers a great coastline, charming villages, and great urban cities. A misunderstood state nationally, New Jersey defies its stereotypes and continues to become popular tourist state.
