• Clyde (pop: 6,080) is a city located in Sandusky County, near Fremont. It is the home of Whirlpool, the "world's largest washing machine manufacturer" and has a pretty intact downtown. Clyde is the setting of Sherwood Anderson’s popular book entitled Winesburg, Ohio. A typical northwest Ohio city, Clyde is highlighted by a particularly interesting Carnegie Library.
