Oberlin

Oberlin (pop: 8,195) is one of the most well-known liberal arts college towns in the country. Founded, in 1833, Oberlin College, regarded to be the first (and oldest) coeducational college and being one of the first integrated colleges in the country, is also known for the Allen Art Museum (a Cass Gilbert classic), has a rich history of abolitionists, diversity, liberal thought, and even a Frank Lloyd Wright house, the Weltzheimer House. The campus is stunning while the commercial district is full of cafes, shops, and theaters. Oberlin is one of Ohio's best small towns and is still as vibrant as ever.
