Kent (pop: 27,906) is famous for Kent State University, the largest university in Northeast Ohio. Infamous due to the student killings in 1970, Kent has moved on, become a progressive university and the town has prospered. With a wonderful downtown with bars and restaurants (typical college stuff) along with a location between Akron and Cleveland, Kent is a great college town.
