The Ohio State Fair is a longstanding Ohio tradition that started in Cincinnati in 1850. In its first years, the fair was held in different cities each year (Cleveland, Dayton, Sandusky, Zanesville, Toledo, Springfield, Mansfield) before it became a permanent Columbus fixture in Columbus in 1874. The fairgrounds, now known as the Ohio Expo Center, were completed in 1886 and still holds the fair each year. From the ODNR Nature Park, to the Butter Cow in the Dairy Barn, to the All-Ohio State Fair Youth Choir, the traditions of State Fair are yours to enjoy each summer.
