Circleville (pop: 13,485) is the county seat of Pickaway County in southern Central Ohio. Famous for the Pumpkin Festival, Circleville once had one of the most unique layouts for a city; a complete radial circle (a tribute to the Native American burial ground that once stood where the city began). In the center of the massive spoke was a Greek-revival courthouse along with diagonal buildings completing the unique downtown. Sadly, those days are gone and the city went with a square-grid along with a not-so-bad courthouse. With a great downtown, nice courthouse, a Bible College, and even a grand Memorial Hall, Circleville still preserves its past (or what's left of it).
