Midwest's most scenic city

« on: December 10, 2006, 10:44:25 PM »

It is truly a pleasure to be home in Cincinnati for multiple weekends.  It seems like I have been on the road 70% of my time over the past six months.  The more and more I visit other cities, the more I love Cincinnati even more.  It is truly a great place to live and truly a great city to enjoy the holidays.

On Saturday, my family was at a concert so it gave me most of the day to play photographer.  I met up with ColDay, Nati Joe & Cincy-Rise throughout different parts of the day to walk and photograph the Queen City.  In the evening my wife and I ate dinner at Vinyl in Over-the-Rhine.  The food & atmosphere were fantastic but the portions were small.  Overall it met my expectations and I recommend it for people who are interested in trying new things and like a hip contemporary scene.

You can find more information about Vinyl here: http://www.vinylcincinnati.com/

Here are the photos that made the cut:

More work to be done on the Square

Pokemon - our resident panhandler

And last but not least - The Queen City at Sunset from Bellevue, Kentucky

Hope you enjoyed...

Ah those night shots from the Carew are so cool! As is the shot of OTR from, I presume the Millenium Hotel Restaurant? Is that correct?

6:30pm.  And it was Cincy-Rise, not Joe, that went up the Carew with us.

Fantastic shots!  I've never been on the Observation Deck at night - now I know what I'm missing.

WOW!! Fantastic shots.  The night shots from Carew-AWESOME!!   The different look at otr ,downtown and suspension bridge from Millenium are refreshingly different and therefore my favorites. Thanks for posting.
