No.
RNR wrote her post on June 5.

Potbelly's 515 Euclid Ave loaction did not officially open until June 6.
By elimination, she was giving her 1-visit-based review about the home-grown Cleve Pickle.

I wonder (am hoping) they still have their insane weekly taco and wing specials.

Their website doesn't list any specials or happy hours.  Attn: Reddstone. This is useful information.

Maybe they have more updated on facebook?

Similar deals but much different format.  Wings are normally priced $9 for 13 I believe, includes celery & ranch/blue cheese on the side.  Wing night is still Tuesday which is half off.  Thurs is taco special night but it's a much larger taco, more ingredients, fresh toppings etc.  I can barely eat 3 of the new style, where I could hammer down 6-8 of the old style

Looks like the lunch crowd downtown is definitely curious about Potbelly's

There was a huge line out the door the last 2 days when I went by there. Clearly people are hungry for an alternative and interested in checking out what's new.

Has nobody been to the "Cleveland Pickle" yet?  Shame.

I have.  I had a spicy chicken salad sandwich which was very good, and very filling, and fast service despite the line practically going out the door.

"the Clevelander" sandwich is AMAZING!

There is now a JB Mack, Mac and cheese kitchen- going on Euclid avenue under university lofts by csu. Looks good!!

true, but you wont find me breaking down the sandwich and shake.  If you want a really good meal, go to greenhouse tavern.

Well I'm looking for a CHEAP good meal-- therefore I don't eat at Greenhouse. Of course you're going to analyze something when it opens... Is that illegal?

"Good bread, but the meat was a little bland" is over-analyzing?  Should I have even chewed before I swallowed?

Not at all.  Writing a monologue about it may be, however.  All love R n R, just think you're being ttoo tough on those guys.

And for CLE618's post, i thought I was reading a urbanspoon.com review of a Mario Batali restaurant.

Whats next?  Are we going to start doing yelp.com reviews on chick-fil-a?  Maybe we can get John Petkovic from the plain dealer to rate Chipotle on his "olives scale".  Go easy on the sub shops.

If you don't like other peoples opinions, don't read them. This IS the restaurant discussion thread...

Yes it is definitely nice to see more and more spots utilized.

RNR - when i saw you posted a comment, I was ready to get a talking-to about calling it Potbelly's, instead of Potbelly Sandwich Shop.  :-) Maybe we are able to put a possesive 's on this??
It was either that or you were there in line, or crossing the street or on sidewalk -- and saw me snap the pic.

Went to Potbelly for lunch today (today being a Saturday), and we were quite impressed with the foot traffic through there - the line never really died down while we were eating.  I had a tuna salad sandwich, and mr Broc had the pizza sandwich.  He did think his sandwich could use a little more meat, but they both tasted good, nonetheless.

The employees were definitely still finding their way a bit, and the GM and some other woman were watching everything very closely.  All in all, I would venture to say they had a pretty good first Saturday.  We'll be back for sure.

Can we not overanalyze lunchtime fast food sub shops?  Both Cleveland Pickle and Potbellys offer better than average subs thats are filling, quick, CAN be healthy and creative.  Thats all they are intended to do.  They arent trying to be Cowell And Hubbard, lets not criticize them like they are.  They are both leaps above Subway an Quiznos.

nothing healthy about bread, some garbage processed meat thats been GMO grain fed (like pretty much all sources of meat), and some likely GMO/pesticide veggies. people really need to understand what they eat. they probably cost 6-7 bucks too.

is india flame any good? havent been there but saffron patch is overrated & overpriced so i'm thinking of trying it. what does the buffet have as far as choice/value?

re: reddstone.......from the menu it looks to be a clip joint. $9 for wings, $12 for a sandwich/burger, the flatbread with goat cheese is 14. whats the portion size of that?i cant recall any actual local places that you can get whole pizzas with goat cheese. some have 1 with usually a mix........theres dewey's but i dont know how good it is.

Because I so rarely get to the E side, I had forgotten how much I like Balaton, which I've only been to a handful of times, but my Mom and I had the day to spend with little RNR today so we went over there for lunch. Their website said they weren't open til 12:30 and the sign on the door said 1, but when we showed up at 12:10 the doors were open so we went on in. Thank God I did not (knock wood) get a picky toddler. He shared my cucumber salad with me, ate two big, thick pieces of bread and butter, half a stuffed cabbage roll and then shared a chicken schnitzel dinner with me, including eating all the applesauce. And then had a cup of ice cream from the coffee shop just on the other side of the square. My Mom had a garlicky type pork cutlet that she didn't care for, but loved the stuffed cabbage and we agreed to come back sooner so we could get more of the goulashy type dishes, which we both love.

Balaton is definitely a stop on a tour of Cleveland's ethnic restaurants...

A place called J.B. Mack -- Macaroni and cheese Kitchen is opening in the ground floor retail around 20th & Euclid (CSU).
The sign says Mon July 16

I've been wondering why there's no venue downtown for original music at any bars (other than Wilbert's).  I hope Lounge 21 is a nice venue.

Wow good question. The Flats were filled with live original music. Lots! Then as the WHD came into play seems those bars were DJ or cover band oriented. I'm not sure why downtown proper isn't more happening, though Wilberts is really great. Now Lakewood on the other hand, that is a mecca. Especially Madison. Some venues are cover oriented, but I hope they remain the exception and not the rule.

Ewwww la taza de oro?   Don't eat there, the food is now crap!  Back in the day before the meatpacking district and when Chelsea and the village were still gay-gay, that place was decent.  Now its the pits.

The Salcocho, pernil, pasteles, bistec are horrible.  The Rabo de res and patitas de cerdo dont have any mean on them!  WTF?!  You can't be a hole in the wall Puerto Rican/Caribbean restaurant and give us crap.

balaton is not all that either. faik they dont even have savory palascinta, at least most of the time.  i saw people eating some at a czech beergarten yesterday and it made me homesick for homemade hungarian food.
