I was looking for a nice bar to go to on a Thursday night. Something nice and somewhat elegant but not too expensive, think Bar Louie in Legacy. Any recommendations

Depends on what kind of night you want to have, but since you included the term "elegant" here's the best I can think of in CH -

The Fairmount at Cedar-Fairmount
The Colony on Lee Rd
La Cave Du Vin on Coventry

Those are all good bars to go to with a group of friends or on a date, but I wouldn't think they would be the best place to meet new people if that is your thing.  Probably a slightly older crowd than Bar Louie as well.

I hardly think of Bar Louie as elegant so perhaps more info is in order.  Are you looking for a quiet, sophisticated bar like the Velvet Tango Room?  Or somewhere where there are lots of "see and be seen" younger people, but without loud music.  Like maybe Mercury Lounge downtown or a place like Bar Cento?

The hookah bar is definitely packed, but it's a really crappy place.  Too many underagers and the hookahs use some kind of synthetic tobacco.

Bar Louie on the East Side is decent enough.  Wine Cave in Coventry.  Winking Lizard and Sunset downtown.    Great Lakes Brewery in Ohio City.  Lava Lounge in Tremont.  Really, there are a ton of places in (Greater) Cleveland to hit that have good Thursday showings.

Tough to go on the information you have given so far, here are a few of my favorite East Side watering destinations.

Brennan's Colony on Lee Road is always a good bet and if the weather is nice they have a great outdoor patio area (complete with outdoor bar and propane guzzling heaters).  If you like Lee Road; Parnell's, Tavern & Company, and Lopez are also safe bets.

Coventry on a Thursday night is going to be filled with college kids.  If that is your scene than I would visit B-Sides or McNulty's over the other options.

Finally, headed a bit west towards Cleveland you will find Nighttown and The Fairmont at Cedar-Fairmount.  Both of these have great atmosphere and a good selection.  The Fairmount has Bar Harbor Blueberry Beer which I strongly recommend.   Hopefully this information is decently helpful.
