And the national media wondered how LeBron would handle his first playoff game... HA!!!.. just another day at the office for the King.  A triple double in his first playoff game, incredible!!!

I know every game won't be as easy as this one was, but it sure was sweet to watch.  I wish I could've have been there, the crowd at the Q was absolutely electric.

And the great bonus re this human phenom is you can root for LeBron, the person... he seems like such a nice, down to earth kid... No knucklehead-ness w/ this hometown guy; he's incredibly humble.  And for that we can rejoice.

I'm glad LeBron responded with a strong game because we knew he wasn't going to have a repeated performance of what happened in Game 2. I am a witness to history being made before my eyes. LeBron is a historical player.

the whole second half just made me think bron is going to leave if gilbert/ferry don't get a better team around him.

Game 5

Cavs 121
Wizards 120
(overtime)

Lebron James with an easy lay-up to win the game with 2 seconds left!

I was at Buffalo Wild Wings in Oxford watching the game, and the bar was packed with people watching the game and rooting for the Cavs. It was an incredible game. I sure wished I was in a Cleveland bar watching the game. WE ARE ALL WITNESSES is kind of tacky slogan, but I was really happy to embrace it tonight.

I'd give the slogan a 6 (out of 10), but I wish James took a number other than Michael Jordan's.

Great win by the Cavaliers! I think they need to sit Larry and start Flip. Hughes had a good game 5, but every other game he was just horrible. Flip Murray=Instant offense

I, too, was frustrated by Larry, b/c I know he's a much better player.  He's got a lot of rust, plus I think, given his friendship and rivalry w/ Arenas, I think he was constantly trying to one-up Gilbert (well, we saw how that turned out).  He violated that age-old premise of that great athlete: he didn't play "within himself"; he turned the ball over and took some wild shots...  But Larry dished out 11 or 12 assists and, as usual, made some key D contributions.  And let's not forget Game 5, where he carried the load, scoring-wise, while leading the triad of himself, Eric and Flip when LeBron went down on fouls (ridiculously, from a refs POV) in the 3rd quarter.

Let's not give up on Larry just yet.  Don't forget how we got off to such a hot start (and whipped these same Pistons) before Larry went down to injury.  I also loved what Eric did for us; I was calling for his benching for Flip & Larry, and look how huge Snow stepped up for us.

Go Cavs.

I actually like the slogan, plus I love the commercial showcasing it.  Last night I was definately a witness!  I can't imagine a better series than the Cavs/Wizards was, but we'll see...

I am not as down on Larry as some of you guys are.  I think that he has added a lot to the team over the past few games.  How many steals did he have last night?? I am excited when I think about how well Larry will mesh with the rest of the Cavs next year if he can stay injury-free.

Also, I really like the play of Varejao.  He just keeps getting better and better.  As he gains experience, he won't pick up some of stupid fouls that he makes now.  A smarter and more experienced Varejao be a large asset to this team.

Z is making me think that his long-term contract from last summer was a mistake.  He was very important during the regular season, but he has seemed worthless in the playoffs.  On the flip side, I couldn't stand to watch Snow during the regular season.  I really like his play during the first round.  He has been a good defender and has stayed within himself on the offense. He has also hit some clutch free throws.  There is a different look in his eyes during the playoffs.

I don't expect much against Detroit. I'd be happy if we lost in 6 (I want as many games at the Q as possible).  I think that it was very important to have some playoff success.  All year long, the second half demise of years past hung over this team.  This season will do a lot for team and franchise confidence.  I also think that it does a lot for Cleveland in that its the first playoff victory for any team since the Tribe's 1997 victories over NY and Baltimore.

Things that Ferry needs to work on this summer:

1. Sign Flip Murray.
2. Move Z and pick up a younger and tougher center who plays good defense (I don't care about a loss in point production.)
3. Get a power forward who can post up better than Gooden.  I like Gooden, but he may not be the best long-term solution for this team.
4. Take 10 years off of Steve Kerr and get him back into a Cavs uniform.  Unless Damon Jones can be more effective, he looks like a bust.
5. Install electronic zappers in the Cavs' shoes that sent a jolt if a player stands still for more than 2 seconds when Lebron has the ball at the top of the arc.

I think that its a bit cheesy, but I like it.  Its cool seeing all these black "Witness" t-shirts around town.  I have also seen some bed sheets hanging from balconies in Cleveland Heights with "Witness" written on them in black marker.

it's very corporate, but i like the slogan and the local nike commercial they were showing. i give the witness slogan 8 out of 10. i think "the q" is much cheesier.

i watched at the riveria in greenwich village. its a red sox tavern so we had to wait for the moron red sox game to end to get it up on more tv screens, ugh, but whatev. lots of fans were rooting for both wizards and cavs, but everybody loves lebron. what a great game, very exciting.

i hate to say it but an all-star team of wizards and cavs wouldn't matter vs the pistons. you never know tho, we'll see, thats why they play the game.

I like the commercials as well.....when I was in NYC last week watching the game, it was cool seeing Cleveland represented on TV...and it was even cooler seeing more people watch the TV's with the Cavs on, and less watching the Stankees...I mean Yankees.
