#1 Insanely overpaid college president is OSU's Gordon Gee at $2 million/year
Boreas:
Part of his compensation is a $300,000/year "bonus". He is not even in a market organization and he gets a bonus. Is he supposed to create a profit for the company?

Clevelander17:
I've generally thought very highly of Gee and he's always been recognized amongst his peers as one of the best college presidents. Now that being said, I'm not sure that he should get a bonus after the debacle that occurred in the athletic department last year, one which the University is still cleaning up.
gottaplan:
I think he's worth it. OSU is a massive, sprawling complex with tens of thousands of students, thousands of staff and dozens of departments, academic programs, over 100 buildings and structures, hundreds of acres of land and parking to maintain... aside from the football slip up, he's done a fantastic job.
Whipjacka:
I always found that these numbers mean nothing in a vacuum. What do the top ten presidents make?
