Hey - I believe that the 5th pic down shows the building which houses Heritage Ohio (last building down the sidewalk, upper floor).

KOOF, you're right, I should just take 2nd over to Cleveland and head north. Is it all uphill though? It is, but you hardly notice it; the incline is far more apparent on Summit and 4th. Cleveland cuts northeast, so I think that mitigates the climb. That, and there usually seems to be a tailwind when you're heading north.

How did you manage to photograph most of East Main Street and not get a single hooker in the pictures? They usually hang out in many of the doorways you have photos of and they are always on the steps of that church towards the end of the photos.
I've heard JPs Barbeque is good but I've never been.

^^Yes, Heritage Ohio is located there and I'm sure the irony isn't lost on you when one of their objectives is reviving main streets across Ohio, except for the one they're on, apparently. ^I'm going to head up Cleveland Ave tomorrow and cover at least South Linden. I'll see if I have enough energy (and memory on my card) for Hudson. Yes, E Main is known for prostitution, but maybe it was too early? I almost ate a JP's once ("Can YOU take a good ribbin'?" man that is one of the best, bad local commercials) but it's cash only and a guy was following us out to the car for money when we were leaving from inside the restaurant (duh, we don't have cash on us, that's why we left!). There have been many good things said about Gloria's, so that was my choice for a bite to eat.

I'll fine tune my comments about the Cleveland Ave corridor it is really bad from 26th south toward 11th. It is still not too bad at Hudson, but the real turn takes place at about 26th.

This has been posted on the site before, but this seemed like a good thread to put these on too... East Main Street Camera project... there are questions of civil liberties et al, but they've put up some striking footage and previously had it tied into some great music - but I think the original music was removed due to copyrights... here's a couple

Who? I don't know who that is...but as far as civil liberties are concerned this is a grassroots effort to weed out crime (get it? ha!), not secret or otherwise government surveillance. If it has real, positive effects and is combined with efforts to occupy currently vacant buildings *cough* Heritage Ohio *cough* then I am all for it.
^^That strip of Cleveland is basically all in South Linden.
