Cleveland - Storage Places on the Eastside near Beachwood
« on: October 26, 2009, 04:03:09 AM »
We have an entire house to move up here and only a two bedroom apartment now, so we need a storage place.  I did a soft search and called 2 numbers that are no longer in business and 2 that didn't answer.  Anyone recommend a reliable and reasonably priced place?  I HATE public storage because I bought insurance last year and had to put my entire place in it and had it broken into.  Filed a police report, etc with a picture of the broken clasp and proof from the police that this has happened often and they said there was no forced entry and I was out of $2500.  So, now public storage:)  Thanks in advance!!!!

When I was an undergrad at Case, I used to store stuff every summer at the U-Store-It on Warrensville Center Road (near I-480) in North Randall.  North Randall itself isn't exactly the nicest place in Cleveland, but the facility itself is super nice.  It's completely gated, and then you have to have another key to get into the building where your unit actually is.  The whole place is climate controlled and extremely clean, and they sell these locks (they're like 20 bucks, but I highly recommend them) that are keyed and cannot be cut through unless you've got some heavy duty equipment.  Oh, yeah, and there's a security alarm and cameras and stuff.  All in all, I'd highly recommend it.

Two years ago we had to rent a storage unit temporarily when my uncle died and we had to quickly clear out his apartment.  We used Security Self-Storage - it's behind the Cuyahoga County Airport in Richmond Hts on Bishop (Brainard) Rd.  Very secure, gated, cameras, etc.  Quiet area right by the UPS terminal, no crime nearby at all.

I don't know the name of it, but there is a storage place on Warrensville Center Rd just north of mayfield before it merges with Noble.  Fairly new place.  It is right across the street from Pete's Tavern.  I might drive by it later and will pm you the phone #

It is prob about 10 mins northwest of Beachwood mall

I deleted my posting because I listed sites on the west side. I wasn't paying attention to the east-side/Beachwood preference listed by the original poster. My bad.
