Falco - Der Kommissar

the 24 story midblock sliver tower is only 25 feet wide by 81 feet deep!!!   :-o

yes, it tapers back toward the top floors

in the back of the building, which doesn’t take long to get to from the front (!)
the street level & basement is an art gallery

there is a bit of a skylight back here

the tour started here on the 11th floor and worked down from there --
the top floors are apts for the director & visiting artists, etc. --
there is a roof deck too, but i guess der kommissar wouldn't let us see that  :police:

reception on the directors office floor

nice city views

that’s the st. regis hotel below

this floor is the library floor – its open to the public

it’s the only level w/ an open stairwell to the floor below

all the furniture & fixtures were also designed by the architect

this floor is the performance hall floor --
she is saying the piano is raised up and stored in the ceiling!  :-o

the austrians have mostly classical & jazz type shows -- it holds 75 or so people --
they are very happy with it because previously, when they had the townhouse here,
which this tower replaced, they had to rent out sites for performances

you exit the performance hall down to the art gallery & that’s it
a little more of the art show – it had some video

***the austrian cultural forum building sure makes amazingly clever use of not much space ***
