Upscale(ish) hair salon near Kent?

Hope this is a good place to post this...

I will be moving to Portage County from Florida in a week, and will eventually be desperate for a hair stylist.  Anyone have any they would recommend that is sort of in the area?  I am used to paying about $130-$150 for cut and color.  I was thinking maybe Hudson would have what I am looking for, but since we'll be living in the Kent/Ravenna area, it would be nice to have something a little closer to home.

I don't have any experience with these places but here are two Aveda salons - I've found most Aveda places to be on the upscale end:

I can come up with a map showing some of the back ways from Kent to Hudson/Stow. It's about a 15 minute drive.

I'm one of only a couple people on the site from that part of Northeast Ohio (I grew up between Kent and Ravenna), but unfortunately I can't recommend a good salon. I know where my mom and mother-in-law go, but I doubt it would be considered "upscaleish".

If you do have any other questions about the area, let us know. Besides me, I'm sure there's a handful of folks that have gone to Kent State that would be glad to offer directions or advice.

Well, I don't really know of any good salons. However, I did a search on google and there is Cuttin' Loose (which is an Aveda Salon) but it didn't get many good reviews. Also, the salon looks pretty tacky and outdated (judging from the pictures on their website). Sorry that I wasn't much help. I can ask some girls around campus though. Otherwise, MayDay's suggestions seem to be pretty good; so, go with that. lol.
