Midwest's most scenic city

Over the last month I have been around the city taken photos here and there.  With my busy work schedule I am just getting a chance to process and upload these to share with the UO community.  All photos were taken with my new Nikon D300.

I have also increased the width of the uploaded photos from 800 pixels to 900 pixels.  Hopefully this adds more detail to the photos for your viewing pleasure.

Great pics.

I'm glad to see the couple with the dog weren't getting a ticket for having a dog on Fountain Square (which is a stupid rule IMHO).

^I agree, as long as they clean up after them I don't see what the big deal is. Dogs are great for the square.

Great photographs! I take it you are simply in love with your Nikon D300. And the lenses you have chosen to use are very nice, and are some of the better Nikkor and Sigma models out there. How is the Sigma 10-20 treating you?

27, 28, & 29 are definitely in Covington, right up on the river.  If you stand where those pictures were taken and turn 180 degrees, you're looking over the river and into the Great American Ballpark.  Actually, if you look at picture 38, those houses are just beyond the left border.

Columbusite, those tree-lined streets are also in Covington, KY.  They're 2 or 3 blocks south of the houses in 27, 28, & 29.

Beautiful photos... I love my Cleveland, but concede that Cincy takes the "looks" prize of the 3Cs by a comfortable margin.  I still wonder how this row-house, Eastern city plunked down on the Midwest/South banks of the Ohio River.  Downtown Cleveland would do well to emulate the attractive vistas and function of downtown Cincy; its a visual delight (if only Cincy would finish its damn subway, the place would be near-perfecto!).. and those ultra-mod Covington condo/apt are funky beyond belief.  And the Roebling bridge seems more than simply the older-brother/precursor of its younger sibling connecting Brooklyn and Manhattan, it's current function, as a modern, major pedestrian bridge linking high-density Covington and Cincy is parallel, as well...

Nice job!

I love CIncinnati and you have done a simply fantastic job!!!  It is too bad the rest of the US cannot see these pictures and discover what a beautiful area this is.  Any thought of putting the pictures in a book?
