Obama For President

WWW
« on: February 26, 2008, 01:02:03 AM »

Tonight, I went to Wright State University to listen to Barack Obama speak.  Even though I waited over three hours, it was worth the experience.  I met some friendly people, engaged in some good conversation and took many photos throughout the evening.  I struggled through poor lighting and the distance from Barack with some of my photos.  I had my ISO setting at 800-1250 most of the night and while it helped, I wish I had the Nikon 80-200mm 2.8f lens.  Even though noise is prevalent in the photos, I think I captured the evening.

Hope you enjoyed the photos.  Vote Obama in 2008!

Nice shots.  Looks like a good crowd.

I went to see him here in Madison a couple of weeks ago.  The place was packed to its official capacity of 17,000 plus the significant standing crowd on the floor as well a lot of people in an overflow area that the senator had to swing by first.  Had to wait for quite a while in some serious mob scenes, where movement toward the door was accomplished by pushing/being pushed.

Reports have it that there were 11,000 people at the Nutter Center at Wright State yesterday to see Obama speak.  I was also happy to hear that Cincinnati Mayor Mark Mallory has endorsed Obama since he is a super delegate.

I go to Wright State. They actually sent us an email ahead of time saying that all roads near the school were going to be packed. Most of my professors went, but I didnt want to deal with the crowd.

I only wish they could have made it more student-centered. Wright State has a huge Obama following and it would have been a good opportunity for him to physically walk around campus and talk to people.

Yup...and there were 13,000 at the rally at the University of Cincinnati.  Great photos...my absentee balot has been cast.

Nice shots! Went to the Cincy rally yesterday.  I got in line at 12:15 and it was already down to Jefferson Ave.  After a 2 hour wait I managed to get a seat in the upper deck.  Next time I hear somebody tell me this city is a republican town, I'll ask if McCain was able to get 13,000 to a rally.

John McCain is expected to speak at Memorial Hall, how many people does Memorial Hall hold?  I also agree that Cincinnati isn't a Republican town but there is no denying the Republican stronghold in the suburbs.  It will be interesting to see if Victoria Wulsin can beat Jean Schmidt in the 2nd District.  The numbers have been getting better for the Democrats over the past two elections.

Originally saw the update on Cincy images, you mentioned that noise was prevalent in the photos, doesn't seem that way at all, they're fantastic shots. I had the chance to see his wife speak at Ohio University and drove from there to Columbus for his rally only to get turned away. Love the shots, although I am not an Obama supporter.
