Nice shots.

You managed to take pictures of the 1% of Nashville that isn't suburbia!! :)  Thank God my wife prefers Cleveland over her hometown!!!

The part of Nashville you were in looks really nice... especially that entertainment district.  Does Nashville have some nice inner-city neighborhoods around DT, or does the quality tail off quickly?

Downtown Nashville has about two streets of older storefront buildings. It serves as the entertainment district. Just outside of downtown, there isn't much in the way of nice neighborhoods. About two miles outside of downtown, there is neighborhood with late 40s/early 50s homes that may or may not have sidewalks.

Nashville looks nice in these pics. I like that Bellsouth tower (not sure if that's what it's really called). Not bad for modern architecture.

Downtown Nashville is alright but literally across the river are 60's style projects and the majority of the city (meaning 95%) is "suburban" in nature.  The only "urban" area I saw was the West End area and that was essentially Norwood with modern buildings.

nice work. a good update for me to see downtown nashville as it has at least double the buildings it did when i was hanging out there back in the late 80's. however, still looks just as blah and completely forgettable. what the hey, they had a mayor named bill boner!

i do like this one tho, or at least it looks good in your pic:

otoh, it always makes me happy to see the pitts.

As always, Pittsburgh photos give me a yearning! Good stuff!

I just realized it's been 20 years since I was in Nashville. Downtown looks a lot different, now. Still mostly tourists, though, from the look of it. The capitol building is a Southern classic!
