Bridge to Remain Closed for Now

The Fort Steuben Bridge will remain closed until at least early next week while engineers analyze photographs and videotape taken Thursday of the structure.

Ohio Department of Transportation District 11 officials closed the 80-year-old bridge Thursday after "a deflection, or undesirable movement under traffic, was discovered during a routine maintenance operation," according to Becky McCarty, public information officer for ODOT District 11.
