Oh, very cool! A great park, great pictures, and a great puppy! Is that a bichon frieze? Such happy, loving dogs! What's his name?

I go to Ault pretty much daily. I love it there...especially the overlook where you can see Lunken.

Ault Park was formerly the site of the Cincinnati Flower Show. Why did they move it to Coney Island? Not enough parking?

Ault Park is one of the most European of American urban parks (or the ones I've seen). The landscaping concept seems right out of one of the German princely towns, with their palace and formal garden (Wurzburg Residenz, Schoss Wilhelmshohe and the the Herkules monument at Kassel, etc) surrounded by a sort of naturalistic park. That pavillion at the end of Ault, end the end of a garden and lawn, seems right right out of that German baroque garden planning tradition.....it reminds me a lot of Shoenbrunn Palace and the Gloriette terminating the garden axis...

Yes it is a bichon frieze, thats what we thought we got when we bought him. We now think that he is a little bit of a mix (bichon/poodle). Either way he's a great dog: very calm/complacent, and always looking to just hang out!.....his name is Cody.

nice pics, and great timing too. my girlfriend and I just went there yesterday to talk to some people and check out the details for our wedding next year. (formal announcement to come)
it's definitely my favorite park in the city.

^My wife and I were married in Alms park in 2002, and the company that books the parks (I forget their name now...Historic Properties or something like that?) - they'd switched software, and somehow didn't transfer our reservation over to the new system. So in maybe February or something we got a call from them asking if we wanted to use a different park...the other couple who had booked months after us was threatening to sue, etc., etc...we ended up moving the wedding back one week, staying at Alms, and they gave us the park nearly for free...so hey, see if you can get them to double-book your date...I know at Ault park, that could save you a ton of money!
