Glenville
is one of Cleveland's largest eastside neighborhoods. The home of the
beautiful Rockefeller Cultural Gardens, Glenville sits along Lake Erie with
marinas, new condo developments, and a strong African-American history.
The Eastside Market is neighborhood landmark while the Rockefeller
Greenhouse sits near the entrance of the gardens. Glenville, on Cleveland's East Side, was once a summer resort destination for many of the city's wealthiest families. It's no wonder, since the Glenville Race Track was there along with the Cleveland Golf Club. Both places provided opportunities for gaming, betting, eating and drinking, among other pusuits.
