Fairfax
is a neighborhood of potential that lies east of downtown. The home of
the world-famous
Cleveland Clinic along with the
Cleveland
Playhouse, the Karamu
House (the nation's oldest African-American cultural institution), the
Health Museum of
Cleveland, and various churches. The neighborhood is mostly wood-frame
housing along with sporadic rowhouses and newer developments.
