Bratenahl (pop: 1,327)
is a small, wealthy Cleveland eastside suburb along Lake Erie. Home of
some of the richest houses in the state, Bratenahl has sweeping views of
Lake Erie and is completely surrounded by the city of Cleveland. Bratenahl Village began as a summer colony for Cleveland's wealthy. Prominent families such as Britton, Corning, Dempsey, Garfield, Hanna, Holden, Mather, Rand, Rockefeller, and others built estates in the Village. Over the years, new groups of people entered the Village: War Veterans, baby boomers, young professionals, young families with children, empty nesters giving us an interesting mix of residents.
